How long will it take for my web hosting account to be setup?

All web hosting accounts are activated in real time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We send your welcome email within ten seconds of your account being ordered!

How long will it take for my new domain name to become active?
Domains are registered as soon as you order them, however it can take between 24 and 72 hours for them to become visible on the Internet.

Can I buy a domain name, but not buy web hosting?
Yes, you do not have to buy the web hosting when you buy a domain name.

How can I pay for my web hosting account or domain name?
For web hosting accounts our preferred payment method is by direct debit and our pricing policy reflects this. We also accept MasterCard, Visa, Maestro (Switch), Solo, Visa Electron and Visa Delta.

For domain name registrations we accept MasterCard, Visa, Maestro (Switch), Solo, Visa Electron and Visa Delta.

We regret that we do not accept cheques, postal orders, standing orders or cash.

Can I have a free trial of a web hosting account?
All of our web hosting accounts offer a no fuss 30-day money-back guarantee so if you don't like your accounts simply let us know. Please note that this offer excludes domain name fees.

Do I get an invoice?
Yes, every time you buy a product from us we will email you an invoice. Invoices are also available to view and print at any time in your control panel.

Do you charge VAT?
Not at this time.  Having recently launched, Genesis Internet is not yet obligated to charge you extra for the taxman.  So, the services we provide cost less - if you're not VAT registered yourself.  However, items 'bought-in' with VAT on them are charged with the tax embedded - which you won't be able to claim back.  Clearly, this won't be the case for long and we will be adding VAT when the time comes.
